I am thinking of making French Toast with the itialian bread...Panatone.?
Has anyone made French Toast using Pan-atone...........I would like to make it for a brunch I am having and I plan on making like regular french toast, but would like to hear from others.......thanks

Sounds yummy to me. You could serve it with maple syrup, jam or just sprinkle with powdered sugar just before serving. You could also sweeten up the egg mixture a little by putting a bit of sugar or syrup in it. What time did you say? :-)

It makes awesome french toast and it makes wonderful bread pudding.
Combine the two and make one of the french toast breakfast things that you make the night before and leave in the refrigerator over night. It will make things easier for you so you are not standing over the stove making french toast.

Panatone is a rich egg bread studded with dried fruit sort of like a brioche with raisins, etc. As someone posted earlier it makes fabulous french toast- very eggy and rich. If you can't find panatone you can sometimes find challah with or without raisins or brioche.

Taste like KRAP. Don't do it unless u want a BAD taste in your mouth for a year. Trust me i know.
