Roses for the spring....?

I've decided to try my hand at growing roses this spring. I would like to get thorn-less roses to make pruning and trimming less troublesome.

Can someone out there recommend a hardy breed? I would prefer red blossoms, but any color would do.

Thanks in advance.

I don't believe there are thorn-less. That's part of roses.

Just buy #1 roses. Go to Jackson and Perkins online for names and pict's. Go to JerryBaker.com for care.

    Merry Holiday's.

Try HelpMeFindRoses---specify red roses and hardy to whatever zone you are in. The Canadian 'Explorer' group is very hardy, but you will probably have to check individual roses for less thorny varieties (there are no totally thornless roses).
