Not necessarily. You don't say how often he takes 10 mg., how long he has been taking it and what he is taking it for? This can mean a lot when using the word "addictive". If he has been prescribed this for a pain that is associated with say an accident or injury once he is healed he should stop taking it and be alright IF he is not on it for a long period of time. If it is for something that will always cause him pain then he will eventually build up a tolerance for it and need a larger does after a period of time. I do not consider this an "addictive" term...it is needed. Now, that leads us to people who think they still need it when they really don't...now we are talking "addicted". Get my meaning?
If he is using it as a non prescribed street drug then, yes, it is very addictive.

Yes hydrocodone is addicting but not as addicting as other narcotics. If he is only taking it for a short period of time, he might not even get addicted. But if he is taking it for chronic pain somewhere, then yes most likely he will eventually get addicted. Just keep communication open with his doctor, that is key in taking narcotics!
