I only paid for cable. Is it illegal to have cable internet?

    If you are using it and it is not part of your service: yes. Check your plan. Because it is cable, they know whether you are using it or not. If you are worried about it, the best thing is to tell the cable company that you are getting it. Sometimes, depending on the company, they'll just bill you for the time you use anyway without any warning.

    how is that illegal there the ones giving it to you?

    hey either your paying for it and didn't know or your getting it for free
