Don't know climate you live in but could be a spider or some other insect bite. Take antihistamine like Benedryl for itching. Put antibiotic ointment on worst area(s) and cover with bandage. Repeat next day. If not better see doctor.

If it's infected bug bite it could be serious. Check to see if there is red line going from your wrist to elbow or shoulder. If there is you need to get to doctor/hospital ASAP. You need antibiotics. If no red line, wash gently with warm soapy water, pat dry and use some antibiotic ointment/cream on bite spot.

Here is what I have learned over the years: 1. Avoid any alcohol-based soaps and lotions. They just dry your hand out. 2. Avoid fragrance. Your skin doesn’t need it! 3. Moisturize RIGHT AFTER washing your hands to seal in the moisture. 4. The lotion or soap should replenish what it removes from your skin. Often this is salt. I have some great products to recommend – I swear by them - let me know if you want any of that information!
