If I were to obtain a medical marijuana card...?

Could it prevent me from obtaining a job as a law enforcement officer?

I live in California, so patients using medical marijuana are protected by Prop 215. So could they legally not hire me based on the fact I have a marijuana prescription? (aka Medical Card)

Yes it could prevent you from getting any job in California. Since marijuana is still listed as a scheduled as a Schedule 1 drug, no employment laws have been changed that prevents an employer from discriminating against hiring you or firing you if you have a dirty drug screening for marijuana. It's up to the discretion of the employer.

Possibly. If you're a user, you're going to fail the piss test and wouldn't get hired anyway.

    i really don't think so.

they can drug test you, but if you're using it for medicinal purposes,

i suppose it wont change shiitt.
