Can I fast ashoura and my missed days together?

I didn't fast when I was pregnant so I'm making up for the missed days I did not fast in Ramadan. I'm fasting today and tomorrow in shaa Allah for tasho'a and ashoura and want to know if I can be credited for both the missed days and for ashoura together? If anyone know a site that has any info abt this please copy and paste. thank u

I am inclined to believe that the women in advanced stage of pregnancy are exempted from fasting. Patients are also exempt. Fasting in Ramzan is obligatory - not in other months but some consider it virtuous. To make up for the missed fast of Ramazan you have to fast the same number of days as missed. Alternatively you can donate to charity an amount usually equal to amount required for the meals for a day for each missed fast.

    The Themes of Ashoura

By: The Religious Authority Grand Ayatullah Sayyed Muhammad Husayn Fadlullah

The Ashoura tragedy blurs the struggle and the person overshadows the symbol that it turns into rivers of tears as long as one can remember instead of triggering storms of revolution. Also the emotional and historical conception presents it as a characteristic of the self, in such a way that the broad cause becomes a personal affair instead of the opposite in which the movement of the self is a product of the cause.

This atmosphere has made the commemoration acquire a kind of tradition in the popular and historical reality that it turned out to be a mere popular tradition of emotional tragedy, pride in heroism, and absorption by excitement. In each period, the emotion has been nurtured with new tidings and analyses till the truth has got lost in a flood of lies, and imagination has been set off without restraint that the emotions have formed the significance of the tragedy. Also, a new context has been added to the intellectual content that can neither apply to original Islam nor does it relate to the main issue.

According to what I believe it is wrong to fast on Ashur. One should avoid eating without intention of fast. Fast symbolize our thankfulness for God's blessings, while Ashur is a day of remembrance of the miseries that Al-e-Muhammad(pbuh&hf) suffered.

And even if you don't believe so, I believe it is not right to fast one day with two intentions. Sawab fast is taken after we have finished missed fasts.

    Hope I helped.

If you cold handle it. I is not feeling well so I cannot. I usually don't feel well during Ramdam, I get cold and stuff.
