what do the texas longhorns have to do to beat alabama in the bcs championship game?

Hope that Alabama misses the plane.

Texas is not gonna beat Bama in the bcs game becuase alabama is to over powering and texas is from the big 12 and last time the big 12 and sec play for the national champonship the SEC won and even though im a huge fan of the big 12 conference i think the SEC has a tougher conference so there is nothing texas can do to win

Hope Bama buys into the hype like USC in 05.

1. McCoy needs to have a VY type game

2. Greg davis needs to have a good gameplan ( Bama's d line isnt as good as nebraska so texas has been tested in that aspect)

3. Make the game come down to kicking, Lawrence> Tiffin

4. Shut down ingrahm, by making tackles and let the best secondary in the country take down Mcelroy

5. Not run the ball, and have shipley make big plays

6. Make more explosive special teams plays

7. win the battle of field position, keep the game generally low scoring between the 2 passing games if they can shut down ingrahm like auburn did

8. execute the greg davis playbook like auburn did, if they do those bubble screens to shipley and the 5 yrd doink passes and not run the ball on 2nd or 3rd down texas could win

It really does not matter. The BCS championship game means nothing. There are many other deserving teams (University of Cincinatti, TCU, and Boise State) that had no chance (even from the beginning) to play in this game. Therfore it can not truly be considered the championship game and therefore does not matter.

properly, based on this good judgment Texas Tech merits it over Texas too. supply it up. Texas lost the tiebreaker. it is not an perfect subject, yet tiebreakers are there for a reason. Texas going to the national championship pastime whilst they could't even win their own convention could in simple terms make the BCS a shaggy dog tale..oh wait... a much bigger shaggy dog tale.

Let's just call the game now and give Alabama the title. Why waste the time and money to actually play the game? The Big 12 and SEC title games should be enough evidence to decide the national champion.

Their offense has to play a lot better than it has all year. Last years UT offense would be able to handle Bama's Defense... this year? They better play better than they did against Nebraska. The UT defense has to hold Bama down in to not get out scored. Should be a good game.

Move the ball on the offense and score. They looked(offense) pathetic against Nebraska.

if they want to score against our defense they need to step up there offense big time. we have star players on every part of our team. Texas will get destroyed.
