I reconnected a Coleman Evcon thermosat, but what did I do?

I installed a Honeywell digital thermostat for my parents, which I have done myseld with no problems before. Foolishly, I didn't notice that the coleman evcon system has a couple more wires that the honeywell didn't have a place for, so I undid the wiring, and hooked the old therm back up. Note: I didn't cut the power, and I know a couple of the wires touch for a moment or so, not long at all. I found out the 2 additional wires are for the heat pump. Anywho.... the system won't come back on now. My multimeter is not reading any power at the thermostat. Any ideas on what may of happened and any suggestions?

A number of things might have happened. Go and take the panel off the furnace where the wires go in and see what they connect to. If they go to a circuit board, then there's a chance something got smoked. There could be a fuse that blew weather there's electronics or not. Are you sure you have the old thermostat reconnected properly? Always turn off the power to the system before disconnecting any wires. Try checking out the literature that came with the system. When in doubt, just call a professional. I hope you can get it working, because this is a hell of a time to be without heat!

Nothing got smoked there is a small fuse on the board, on the furnace its low voltage fuse just for that, replace the fuse and you are all set.

Turn power off next time before touching anything.

the extra wires could be just C which is common which the new stat doesn't need

and H and seperate C power wire which you may needed to take the jumper off the state off RH and RC to make room for them.

G and then W and Y there shold not be any other wires unless it is a heatpump which then it will have B and O W1 W2 Y1 Y2 depending on what is there.

you blew the low voltage fuse off the circuit board in the furnace. Have a look

if you don have one jump it for now after you are done with the work, and then replace it in the morning.
