What was the 1st big gig you went to? What was the best & worse - most disappointing?
My 1st, Thin Lizzy, Colston Hall, Bristol. 1970s
Best, Who at NEC, J Tull at BS Hall, Bowie at Phoenix Festival, Dead at Wembley.
Worse - Dylan/Neil Young at Phoenix Fest.
Mention of Ozzfest has just reminded me of the absolute worse gig, I must have blanked it from memory! Ozzy & Blizzard of Oz, on his 1st solo tour, at Malvern Winter Gardens.
He came on late, absolutely out of it, could hardly stand, let alone sing. His roadies beat up a couple of kids who climbed on stage, it was a shambles.
