Depends on how mature he is. He should probably take showers by himself, but him mom should be helping him, i.e making sure he's safe and making sure he uses soap

I stopped taking showers with my mom at around 5 and a half and I'm a girl so I think being 7 and being a boy makes a difference. I think it's a little too old.

It's to old when they start becoming weirded out by it, when they start becoming "developed" although the way people are answering this question is exactly why people view nudity as sexual instead of natural now a days.

My brother took showers with my mom up until age 8 , he's fine - no damage done.

Age 3 or 4 is when children start to have permanent memories. I would never want my children to have a memory of being with me naked so I stopped before that age. 7 is too old to be showering with mom.

Too old it wld be different if it were a girl.. but stillll even that is too old for a girl 5 years max 4 taking showers

  • I think that'd be sort of ok if it was her daughter at 7, but that's kind of creepy.

And even at that, my mum stopped taking showers with me when I was like four.

  • my mom showered with my sister until she was 4 then she started making me bath my sister until she was 7. when she was 7 we finally let her bath herself

He should be old enough to take showers by himself.

Not something I would personally do, but if it is a non-sexual event I really don't see a problem with it if they both want to do it.

He's completely old enough to bathe himself. He's also old enough to notice the difference between boys and girls.
