is it possible for somebody else to delete my answer?

It is not possible for somebody else to delete your answer -

Deletion of answers can be done only by the following methods -

1. As an answerer you can delete your own answer if needed by you only.

2. Others including Askar can not delete others answer and others can make abuse reports to Yahoo authorities and on getting atleast two such reports Yahoo will delete the answer.

3. Yahoo answers authorities have the right to deleate a question or answer without giving any reason what so ever.

4. Even you feel your answer is as per the community guidlines and do not contain any thing otherwise, but others and Yahoo authorities may the said answer as against the guidelines and delete the same. -

I guess trolls targetting you and reporting you. Otherwise I have no explanation. Y/A community guidelines are still a mystery to me as I have also seen apparently harmless q and a getting deleted.

as quickly as the main suitable answer of a resolved question is deleted the question is bumped off too,i've got lost extra questions that way. this is Yahoo giving the record monkeys an further little bonus,they are in a position to now delete 2 posts for the fee of one.

If it was removed because it'd been reported, you would have received a violation notice email. Did you? If not, it was not removed for that reason. The strongest possibility is that it was simply a glitch. You say it doesn't happen often. I'd guess a glitch is most likely the culprit.

No one else can personally delete your answers, however they can get it so it does get deleted by reporting your answer. The same stuff has happened with me, you more than likely have a troll repoting your answers. Honestly, I dont think Yahoo Anwers does crap to check whether it voilated the terms or not.

No, it's impossible for user to do that. Only staffs have rights to delete people's answer (for good reasons!)

Try deleting my answer. If you couldn't, than that means its not possible..
