Anyone with Tricare military insurance know if there is limit to the amount of coverage...?

I've heard that it's 3,000 for year in terms of medical costs. Anything over I have to pay? Additional info: I'm a Tricare Prime dependent.

I think you mean a "catastrophic cap" for out-of-pocket expenses, not a "limit to coverage." Yes, there is such a cap. See the TRICARE website.

I don't think that's right. Once I racked up 9 grand with a broken rib. Call that 1800 number on your insurance card, they'll have more info.

    Source(s): I'm a Tricare dependent too.
