Why should I have to tolerate hatred on American television - TV show "Mercy".?
On The TV show "Mercy" "I'm not that kind of girl". Season 1 Episode 8. It shows women both Caucasian, black, and hispanic saying racist hateful remarks about Koreans. The lady (main character) who thinks she is pregnant says. "Some Korean woman at my work". And she didn't even mention her name as if all Koreans are regarded as the same with no individual identity. Then another Lady in the TV show says in response. "Well you know about Korean women, how they are always right about everything right"? And she said it with such a sarcastic, hateful tone. Then the women keep talking and talking like as if not hateful thing had ever been said between them and they all agree that they hate Asians. The feeling is mutual for them and there were no asians present in that house to defend themselves either.
This is such a hateful thing to air on national television. I bet the producers and some of the actors even drive Korean made cars. I bet one of them owns a Hyundai, Kia, Daewoo, or a car that is one of those cars just re badged as a Chevy.
This TV shows how hateful Americans really are. And how tolerant they are of being racist towards Asians.
The Question is. Why are they allowed to do this? Especially after that nasty "Desperate Housewives" fiasco where they dissed on Philippinos. Now it's Asians that they all mutually hate. Why is this allowed to air on television?
Asians are not anybody's punching bag.
They should burn all their Korean made cars that they drove to work on their television studio if they are gonna say such hateful things about Koreans.
Sure we have freedom of expression. But that doesn't mean that the owner of BBC channel should have the morals to air this type of hateful TV show on his TV station. Some people wouldn't mind it if his house were bombed. I'm sure they are free to express that. Right.
The totally insulted the Koreans in this Episode. They even talked trash about "Kim-Chee" A Korean dish of lettuce or cabbage that is spicy and carbonated. This dish is regarded as a food Staple in Korea just like Bread and Butter to the Americans. In Korea it is very respected. But in this TV show they said. "I'm sure Kim-Chee is the worlds cure all right?" In the most racist/sarcastic tone of voice. It was very condescending and hateful and racially intolerant. This TV show needs to be pulled from the air!!!! If Americans can't throw away every Korean car and products shipped on Koreans ships, then THAT TV SHOW NEEDS TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not even Korean and I am insulted and outraged!
Koreans NEVER CLAIMED THAT KIM-CHEE is some kind of MIRACLE CURE! All it is, is a common dish that Koreans love to eat because they like the taste. Every Korean household has this in the fridge but a few. That racist TV show is teaching Americans racial intolerance, bigotry, and ignorance! Just what we need more of right?

No one is making you watch that show.
That's not the only racism that's on tv. Don't pick and choose. And that show in no way represents all Americans' behavior. So don't generalize. I personally don't watch that show. And i don't "tolerate" racism.

specific. i'm in England and it became shown right here. It was once one in each of our favourites. And specific, we did "get it" - English humour isn't so diverse from American humour in spite of each little thing. innovations you I gave up television over two decades in the past so i do no longer comprehend if that is been shown presently on the cable channels whether that is a threat as they seem to instruct an excellent number of the favored previous sequence on there.

The reason this is allowed is because WE ARE STILL A FREE COUNTRY. WE STILL HAVE FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION HERE. THANK GOD!!
If you don't like it, you don't have to tolerate it. YOU HAVE THE FREEDOM TO CHANGE THE CHANNEL!
