Don't wanna be a rebound girl?

I know this is in the wrong section, but If I put it in Singles and Dating I will get no answers, or silly ones.

The guy I have been madly in love with(for a year) recently told me he has liked me for a while, and he told me he wanted to be with someone like me and not his girlfriend.

I told him I liked him and a few days after he broke up with her. (apparently to be with me)

He's one of my very good friends, and he left the relationship because the girlfriend treated him badly. And they have been broken up for 3 weeks so far.

We have had a sleep over once, and he didn't even try to make any moves or anything Just cuddled me and kissed my on the cheek all night. Also, a really hot girl from college called him for a hook up while he was drunk with my best guy friend, and he said no because he liked me.

So is he genuine? And how long do I have to wait before I'm not considered a rebound?

He is definitely genuine and you are not considered a rebound to any extent simply because you are both really good friends and have liked one another for longer than the time he has been broken up.

Yeah, he's a genuine... he luuuuurves you :P

I would wait another 2 weeks or so, you shouldn't have to wait that long if they broke up because of the girl was treating him badly then it was for a good reason and you should go for it.
