how do i stop itunes from splitting songs from the same album into different albums?

for example lady gaga's album has 5 albums for the same title with only a couple of songs in each. i cant select the whole album to play as its split into 5 so i have to keep re selecting which is not ideal as i spend a lot of time driving.

select all the tracks in the albums in itunes

because of Itunes crappy interface you can't drag select only click select

press the ctrl key when you select them and it wont unselect the last item

then right mouse click select get info

a warning that you are editing more than one track is coming uu , ignore this

then in the dialogue that come up edit the album name artist name and maybe the disc number of

this should make it come up as the same album

If you have the ipod on auto sync you sould be able to do this in the itunes music library

if on manual sync you will have to do it on the ipod music section
