Almost every state belongs to an information sharing compact. Let's get real. Oregon and California are neighboring states They most definitely share DMV information. A suspension in one state is a suspension in EVERY tate and Canadian province. That is exactly why that compact was designed. To keep people suspended/revoked from simply getting a license from another state. To avoid any problems in Oregon you MUST first resolve your problems with California, and get your California privileges reinstated. Sorry.

Yes. The states recognize each other when it comes to drivers license, which is why you can drive anywhere. They also recognize when one state has suspended your license, and even if they issue one before the suspension comes through, once it does they will suspend your new license also.

And then, next time you are stopped for any reason and they run your license, you may find yourself with an impounded vehicle and a ticket for driving under suspension. Don't chance it.

If you apply for a license in Oregon just knowing your license is suspended in CA, you will be breaking the law. You will have to certify that your driving privilege has not been revoked or suspended in any other state. A false answer is considered perjury.

Yes. When you obtain the Oregon license, they will take the CA license and send it back. The suspension will then be noted and sent to Oregon. At that time, you will be charged with fraud on the application since you know it is soon to be suspended. You will still owe any fines and penalties from CA.

Suspended license is a suspended license.. all other states will honour other states decisions... You arent likely gonna get a license in any state until that suspension is gone.. CA isnt gonna give you a license with a suspension on your record.. you kidding me.. this state has actually made it harder to get a license in recent years... You should have paid the tickets.. they were both pretty minor infractions... And seeing who you work for you should have known better (I'm suprised they havent fired you yet to tell the truth)

Go to Oregon's dmv website and review transferring license from another state. Depending on why your license is suspended will determine if the other state will let it go or not. Many states ignore suspensions unless they are DUI oriented. I've provided the linke to Oregon drivers license info.
