wtf is that about? blackberry curve help.?

i have the blackberry curve 8330, i just got it about a month ago,

and just now i hung up the phone, and the screen went black and the little red light came on.

i pushed buttons, nothing worked. i tried turning it off, it wouldnt turn off.

i took out the battery and when i put it back in the red light/black screen came back on

it stayed like that for a few minutes then the screen went white with the little hour glass

the light started flashing,

and then it said initializing system security (is this normal when you take out the battery?)

and now everything appears to be normal.

wtf? anybody know what it could be?

im not very smartphone smart lol

blackberry is one of the most secure mobil devices out on the market, initializing security is just the devices way of going through the start up and security scripting of the devices os. It is nothing to be concerened about. however, it shutting off is something that would concern me slightly. have you used the desktop manager program that came with the device to create a backup file, and to sync your device with a computer?

if not, then i would suggest that you do that. the desktop manager program came on a disk with your device labeled blackberry user tools. download that to your computer, and use the sync cable to create a connection to the computer, click on back up and restore, click on back up, and click on start. that will create a back up file of your device on your computer that contains the call logs, texts, contact, and calendar info on it.
