How to make colored hemp bracelets?

As for the colors-you can use rit dye to dye hemp! I do it all the time, that way you can get any color you want!

To make a bracelet have three colors instead of using three strands (one as the center and the other two as the outside) use 5 strands. For example if you wanted to make something red blue and yellow. One side would use red and blue, and on the other side you would use red and yellow. The center can be any color, since you cannot see it anyway.

As for the beads, instead of using just the same gage hemp as the center, use the hemp, and then a much thinner piece of hemp as well, or some string weave it into the hemp alongside the normal center piece that you would usually put the beads on. Don't use sewing thread, it isn't strong enough, and eventually the beads will fall off.
