Can I use a 5.6v adapter instead of a 5v?

I got a digital video camera today and it is possible to plug in a 5v adapter but the closest thing i have is 5.6v will it break it if i use the 5.6 v? :(

    Since the device is designed for 5v, you should not use anything in excess, as it could damage the device if used on a continual basis.
