Wondering if it's possible?
To lose weight without exercise? I have a busy lifestyle and can't get to the gym 5 days a week. Would I lose if I cut my intake back drastically? I eat around 1000 calories a day and go to the gym 3 days a week. I have about 25 pounds to lose.

The short answer to your question is YES. You can lose weight without working out.
Diet alone can play a big role is gaining or losing weight without changing anything else. Weight gaining foods are wheat, dairy, refined and processed foods. If you eliminate those and increase vegetables, fruits, lean meats, beans, rice, sweet potatoes you should be good to go. People who eat whole foods, and stay away from processed foods maintain a healthy weight. Weight is also just a calories game. As far as calories go, there are 3500 calories in 1IB fat. If you divide 3500/7 days a week, you get 500. Just reduce your caloric intake by 500 callories a day and you can lose 1 pound a week.
There are many factors in weight loss. if you build lean muscle by lifting weights then your body burns more calories even when it is sleeping. Dont eat too few calories or your body will go into conserve mode and prevent you from losing weight.
Plan out your weekly meals in advance. you can make homemade stir frys with brown rice, peppers, onions, lean flank steak or chicken. Make home made stews that you can easily heat up for dinner so you don't ahve to cok every night. Staple foods are genereally healthy, cheap, and promote healthy weight in genereal. Brown rice, sweet potatoes, apples, beans, corn tortillas, oatmeal. Dont deprive yourself though, set a small attainable goal and then increase your goal in order to build your confidence. Good luck!
