How does someone actually get an Outtie Belly Button?

Its not how the cord is cut because I just cut my newborn daughters and they made me cut in a specific spot

some say its the way the cord is cut at birth but a more popular theory about outies is that they are caused by umbilical hernias.

Well belly buttons are the scarring of tissue from the mothers umbilical cord. When the doctors cut it, it leaves a scar, otherwise known as a belly button. Everyone scars differently, and outties just get it that way, it's not bad. It just means that their tissue may have scarred differently. I have an innie.

It is usually the way that the OB/GYN ties the umbilical cord off.

Blame the people who cut and clamp you in the delivery room it's how it is formed.

Also you could get a leak in your belly button and it forms this way.
