Should we be able to chat on Yahoo Answers in a special coded language?

You know sort of indirectly.

Update:

What if the YA askers problem was that they needed to chat more often with people because they felt socially isolated. Surely if YA was flexible enough they could include such a facility even if they insisted on some rules for usage??????????

'Tis true we should be allowed to give "chatty" answers as long as they pertain to the original question. Other than that, we can chat via emails or IM.

The one thing I would like to see is the elimination of violation notices for anything other than cruel, vulgar answers and spam.

In reality, isn't it "chat" every time we answer a question, so why are some of us singled out and sent violations for chatting when we answered the question.

I don't think we should have to go as far as coding our answers because if we did that, then Y!A Team would think up another reason to violate us beyond community guidelines and terms of service.

Yahoo questions and answers is not a chat site, it's for solving our problems. We can chat using the chat feature on the email and messenger. You can click on the avatar and see if they allow im's or emails and communicate that way. Otherwise it would be a violation here.
