I come from Nablus- Palestine. My hometown is known for inventing Knafeh, and we're known for having beautiful cheerful women, and for making the famous olive oil soap.
I also come from Amman Jordan, Amman is known for its flavoured life and its beauty as a unique middle eastern city which is relatively newer than the rest of the middle eastern capitals, we have different national backgrounds and religions, but we blend in perfectly, and we're known for our educated serious people, and their ability to look on the dark side =) lol

I come from a place thats sort of near Tristan..... jabal mohsen which is in tripoli :))))
Although I moved from there when I was a little girl and set off for Australia!
I originally came to sydney then moved to brisbane and now after school I will move back to sydney.
Brisbane is known for being close to the gold coast which seems all tourists tend to ask "do you go to the gold coast!?"..... Brisbane is alot smaller then Melbourne and Sydney.... its alot more layed back and has a boring city life as opposed to the fast pace sydney loool. But never the less its still a great city to live in :) with extreamly friendly people! The summers are extreamly hot and humid whilst the winters aren't that chilling but still some how manage to make you freeze lool.
I read you said you were from Aussie too? What part?

Tyre, south Lebanon
This is city is known by it's great history. It was one of the most powerful Phoenician Cities.
Tyre founded colonies around the Mediterranean and Atlantic. Tyre's splendid life style catered to an affluent merchant class whose newly acquired wealth and prosperity made many powerful enemies such as the Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar and Alexander the Great.
The Princess of Tyre was the first to find the purple color and the first to use it in coloring cloths(the purple dye)
Tyre's princess was the one who created Carthage which is now a city in Tunisia.
It is said that the prince of Tyre was the first one who invented letters.
During the roman rule, the Romans built many impressive monuments, including an aqueduct, a triumphal arch, and the largest hippodrome in antiquity.
You can still see a lot of these historical places in Tyre.
These are just few information about this great city, as you can find much more including some recent history which I didn't include

Born in south lebanon, near a small town called Nabatieh. It is the most peaceful place on earth. life there is so simple and easy.... moved to UK at the age of 12-13, North west of england. a town called Warrington, the ugliest place on earth lol, its soooo dull and boring, lived there for around 10 years.
then to kuwait for 10 years.... its the country where u can have the 4 seasons within 1 hr, the hottest on earth. endless summer days where the temperature exceeds 50 degrees.
then to Dubai.... its a wonderful place.the weather is much better than kuwait, and the country is much more open...
that's in short... traveling around.... but south lebanon is still and always will be HOME, SWEET HOME.

Well I was born in the US, in Florida, but both of my parents were born in Beirut, Lebanon. I've visited Beirut a couple of times, but haven't been able to visit for about 5 or 6 years. Tampa is nothing compared to Beirut, I wish I could live in Beirut when I grow up. There's just so much more to do and the people are more friendly.
Okay let's see...Tampa, Florida. We have Busch Gardens, about 2 hours away in Orlando we have Disney World..and that's pretty much it haha.

Born in a small town in the south of England but spent most of my life here in Australia..
Live in a small seaside community just an hour from the heart of our states capital , Brisbane...enjoy life living on an acreage block with plenty of space , chickens , a dog & heaps of native birds....we even have an occasional visit by koalas ! Our block backs onto a tidal wetland so I guess if this global warming is going to flood lowlying areas we'll be the first to go ! lol

I'm originally from Ras Beirut. I was born and raised there but have lived in the states for almost 15 years now. There's an interesting tradition that they used to do in ras beirut that's kind of like Halloween, but I think it has completely died out. A small group of men used to dress up in sheets (like ghosts) and go door to door and sing to people. In return people would give them random things. In my mom's neighborhood, they gave them matches (just matches ... no idea why). In my dad's neighborhood, they gave them fruit, usually bananas .. again no idea why. I had never heard of this until my parents brought it up ... this is something they saw when they were kids. I would love to see this tradition come back .. and I definitely would love to find out more about its origins and meaning.

Me I was born and raised on the east coast, but from Alexandria, Egypt. Something that I really love about Egypt is the when I open the window or go on the balcony I see the Med. Sea, everyone there is very nice, friendly, and extremely funny. No one ever goes to sleep, which is pretty awesome. I love it there and I might go this summer.

Baalbeck - Lebanon
one of the oldest cities in history , located in the fertile valley of Bekaa , between the Eastern and Western Lebanese Sierras , used to be a fortress because of its location ... the Phoenicians called it Baal-Bek (land of the god Baal) and the Romans called it Heliopolis (City of the Sun) .. they used it as storage for the Empire's wheat that fed the entire Roman army .. and build in it the Temples of Jupiter , Bacchus and Venus ...
Baalbeck is well known for its annual summer festivals which feature international and lebanese artists : singers , dancers , musicians ....
