There are terror attacks more commonly in other countries against US embassy and military bases. It is ignorant to think that in the US we are immune under any circumstance. It was the ordinary person that was there. There were no corrupt, inept government officials sitting on the plane.

And the guy boarded the plane in Nigeria (where America does not post TSA and DHS officials) and flew to Amsterdam (where America does not post TSA and DHS officials) and then proceeded on to the USA. He never got off the plane in NYC - so he never got checked in this country.
