Why is my TV making a high pitched noise?

I have a somewhat old (not flatscreen or HD or w.e, just a big box) Panasonic TV. Whenever I turn it on, no matter what channel it makes that annoying noise.

I do not have an iO box so I only get about 10 random channels (lol), could getting one fix it?

Thanks!

sounds like the horizonal flyback transformer, it is running at 15,575Hz

Could be a sign of impeding doom of the flyback transformer or the CRT its self.

Repair will cost more than it is worth.
