just relax, it wont break easily even if u play 18 hours a day. the best way to put it is flat since it wont fall down easily and heat dissipation will be better, the 40gb ps3 has a history of broken disc drive but you cant stop it if its gonna happen, but the chances are very low, and you wont get ylod for a long time
