What does it mean when ur cat throws up his food lookin like feces?

Question

He hasn't done it anymore today, but then again i havent really gave him alot of food. He tends to scarf it all down at once and i believe thats why he threw up this morn. I do have a strong suspicion that it might be worms, since my family has been givin him wat he begs for or he'll climb on watever to take our food himself. So i've told them to completely stop giving him human food and  i just have to wait til tomorrow to see wat happens. He is as playful and energetic as always, i just dont wanna see another cat suffer.

A hairball can look very much like poop and that's likely what you're seeing.

Get some Hairball Control formulated food and mix some in with his food.  Doing more grooming/brushing will also help prevent hairballs.  They also make a paste that lubricates the hairballs and allows them to pass through the gut so they don't collect and end up as vomit.

It does sound like a hairball but if you're feeding all kinds of crap he shouldn't be eating he could also be getting sick from it.  Cats shouldn't be eating human foods - PERIOD.  So stop giving it to him!  

If your cat is scarfing his food down all at once it's probably because you're feeding him a cheap food with very little nutrition - he's HUNGRY!  Switch him to a healthier food with meat as the main ingredient and little to no grain.  And give him canned food daily as well.

Alot of times when a cat eats and then vomits, the vomit will look like poop.  Many times one of my cats will eat her dry food and then vomit...the worst part is that I can't tell the difference and have to smell it to know.  

So, it's normal.

if he is a dark cat,its probably a hairball,I know sometimes my cat hurks up hairballs that look like really hairy poop...
