well you need to eat carbs and protiens for energy and i suggest not eating atleast 2hours before the competition.
I suggest foods like banana's, fish, bread and nuts.
Also keep your fluids up even though your swimming take a bottle of water with you.

Good things to eat are pasta the night before, protein bar an hour or so before, lots of water all day, and a good breakfast.
Bad things to try to stay away from would be sugar (like marshmallows), caffeine, discretionary calories (chips, oils) and heavy foods that don't digest well. Red meat the night before is a bad idea. I hope that helped a little bit! but worse comes to worse, stick to the food pyramid chart

eat carbs a day or two before a competition because it takes about 24-30 hours to digest and make the carbs work.

Grape Nuts. The cereal, you could have heard of it, however obviously you have not. Also tacobell tacos. I truthfully did win a consuming festival in that. Challenge used to be who might devour seven tacos the quickest. one million minute forty sumthin seconds OH RIGHT.
