Tryed dyeing my hair twice tonight and only the roots change?!?
I had medium brown hair and decided to dye it red tonight.
The first time i dyed it, only the roots turned red and the rest stayed the same
The second time i dyed it, the roots got a little redder and my hair turned a LITTLE redder.
I haven't dyed my hair in a little over three months so that seems fine.
Also, my friend who has the same hair colour as me and has never dyed her hair before dyed a strip of red in her hair and nothing really happened. We've used two different companies and nothing really has happened. Is it that our hair is too dark and we should try again? thanks

Try Clairol Perfect 10, and leave it longer than the time it says on the box. Also I usually split my hair in four pieces, and dye from the roots down and work my way onto the back, ten I put a bag over my head and let that sort of heat up on its own, or you can use a blower to really warm the dye up so it can stay. leave it for longer than 20 mins. I normally leave mines for about 30-40 mins.
Hope this helps.
