You've got to offer something new. There are 500,000 teenage girls who talk about cloths on youtube. Look at the top people on youtube. Hotforwords, a slutty teacher. Community channel, skit comedy/diary. Shaycarl, interesting personality. etc. Nomatter what they do, even if it's just another skit show, they have something that no one else has, even if it's just personality.
At that point youtube will contact you and ask if you want to be a partner. You'll sign a contract. And later you might use that weight to start your own work somewhere else. Contrary to popular belief you don't just become famous. Audrey Hepburn was a little girl with Jaundice, made a lot of crappy movies until she finally got Roman Holiday. I can only imagine how much she knew that opportunity would change her career. Bella Lugosi took the bus to be an extra for years. Fallout boy made 7 records before they even got on radio. You work your butt off. And if you are good enough and lucky something will click, you get that roll that shoots you into the stars. But then you have too work far harder than ever before.
If you want something you will have to suffer for it. If you're not suffering, you know you are not acquiring.

I do not know the statistics for You Tube successes, but what I do know is that if you can create enough buzz, get it to go viral - meaning it gets lots of hits and positive reviews where people then send it along to their friends and then they pass it along in an email to their circle of friends, etc., you will be noticed by someone.
As to how many numbers you would need to get noticed, do some research on people who have been picked up on You Tube - like Charice and see what their numbers were up to before the right person found them.
Acting agencies, music agencies, television shows, etc are looking more and more to the internet to find today's talent.
You can always create your video and submit it to the producers urging them to look at it. Better to be proactive then to sit idly by "wishing & hoping". But you'll need to figure out how to package it in a unique way that gets noticed from the millions of others out there doing the same and hoping for the same.
Good luck,

It is a sad side effect of all the Reality TV shows (well it is here in Britain anyway) that they bombard us with and the 'dumbing' down of culture which seems to be happening these days! Bring back programmes like 'Bodymatters' and 'Tomorrow's World' that used to assume that The Great British public had a reasonable level of inteligence !! I think the situation must be similar in Eire,Australia The USA, Canada etc,etc

1 in 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 x the number of videos uploaded per day
it is very unlikely that you will be discovered on youtube unless you try REALLY REAKKY hard and market the show correctly
not to crush hopes good luck

You don't really have that good of a chance of becoming famous, but who knows! Good luck and God bless!

chances are really slim. you just really need to make a lot of videos, and videos that are mature yet fun. just get yourself known!

Extremely slim.
And, agencys usually don't contact you unless you're well-known already.
