I spent ages trying to convert my MP4 VIDEO to AVI so I could put it on movie maker then after about 3 hours when It had converted, I opened the file and the video was just a video of a grey screen that last less than a second, THE VIDEO IS SUPPOSED TO BE A 2 MINUTE CLIP OF A GOLDFISH. how can I convert it without all this crap going on.

THANKS :)

I had the same problem but I used Prism! It is super user friendly and safe :) It also works really fast too. Hope I helped :) AND its FREE!! http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/

Heres a tip: Once you convert it through prism the picture that you click to open it is grey. But don't worry when you open it it shows the video perfectly fine.

    Try this video converter:

    http://www.video-dvd-ripper.com/video-converter/

It supports the mutual conversion between almost all video/audio formats, and HD videos.

It is easy to operate. Just few clicks are OK. The conversion will be finished in short while and with lossless quality.

    Hope it useful for you.

Piece of cake! - Put the clip you want to use in the "time line", NOT the storyboard. - Que the blue "stick" cursor to the exact point on the clip that you want it to freeze. - Now, below the viewer on the right side, there are 2 buttons. One is "split clip" and the other is "take picture". - Click the "take picture" first! (This will be the still part.) It will ask you to save this...just go ahead and save it, but you don't have to chase it down because if you look in the "collections" above the time line, it will be there. (But don't touch it yet.) - Click the "split clip". The clip will split into two clips. - Now, drag the still picture and put in between the clip you just split. - Then adjust the duration of the still to sync up to however long you want the film to be "still". That's it! (To do it like the video, just put a bunch of stills together, like the part where the girls are floating through the air.)
