Do you ever feel sad when you see an elderly person eating alone?
I just want to go over there and chat with them. And then they will tell me something extraordinary about their lives, and they will become my secret role model. And after they pass away, I will proceed to write a book about how they changed my life, kind of like Forrest Gump, without the box of chocolates.

You know, for one that eats alone everyday, nice to know there are some people that would sit and join me. But to risk being facetious, I don't eat where I can see my reflection. Besides, at my age, you do find pleasure in just watching people and things around you. Life is beautiful.

wow, you are pretty much my long lost twin. Everytime i see an elderly person--well, really, ANY person--eating alone i feel like running over there and making friends with them and hearing their life story. People shouldn't have to eat alone, it's just too sad to watch. Plus they could end up being your next love or something. You never know ;)
