What is the difference between the NVIDIA GeForce 8400 9400M G and 9500M?

Question

I am considering purchasing either:

Dell XPS M1330 w/ 128mb NVIDIA GeForce 8400

Dell XPS 13 - 1340 w/ NVIDIA 9400M G

Dell XPS 13 - 1340 w/ 256mb NVDIA 9500M

I understand the 9500 is the best w/ the 9400M as the 2nd best but how much better is one than the other?  I am not a "gamer," i don't even play games on my laptop so which card makes sense for me.  Please take into consideration that the laptop w/ the 8400 is nearly $200 less expensive.

if your not going to game, then go for the 8400. IF its just for documents and such yer go for it. But its up to you, the 9400 and 9500 are still horrible for gaming though

If you aren't a gamer or don't intend to do anything that is graphically intensive, save the money and go for the 8400.  You'll see a significant increase in performance when going from an 8 series to a 9 series, and if you are really curious, then go check out tomshardware.com and look at the GPU charts to see how the fps differ.

But I would go for the 8400 and save money if I wasn't a gamer.

honestly. i individually use an NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT 256 MB built-in card on my workstation, and it runs at medium settings incredibly properly; with some tweaks, much greater advantageous. in case you attempt it and it runs sluggish, there are consistently innovations like overclocking or employing custom visitors like Kirsten's or Emerald (which I beta attempt for, and is in the technique of including a number of velocity tweaks).

If you're not a gamer, save your $200. Invest your money for additional RAM (memory chip).
