Can you take out the battery of an 80GB Ipod?

My friend needs a new battery on his , and he doesn't know how or where to take it out to replace it !

If it's still under warranty, take it to Apple for them to do it for you. If it's not under warranty, and you want to do it yourself, you need the instructions and tools from here:
