Is there a trick to keeping mice from eating the wiring in a vehicle that sits in a rural, isolated area?

I'd like to keep my old truck in a wooded area for occasional farm use, but I'm afraid mice will tear out the wiring and build nests everywhere. Any ways to keep them out?

Put a sign on the truck - "No Trespassing" - "Keep out" - "Restricted Area" - "Danger: High Voltage" etc......

Seriously, I have seen the damage that mice can do to a wiring harness many times and I understand your concern.

I can't vouch for this from personal experience, but I was once told by a customer that moth balls will keep the varmints out.

Moth balls. Just remove them before you start the truck. Have to do this with our lawn mowers in Winter.
