It is not bad at all. Nothing to stress over.
I wouldn't say that it is painless, but there is nothing to worry about.
It just feels like a pinch and it does not last long at all.
Good luck!

Getting a shot of Novocaine isn't bad at all. They numb your mouth first, with I'm guessing, something like ore-gel. Then they give you the shot, which doesn't really hurt at all, at least for me it didn't. All you feel is a little pinch, and depending on how good your dentist is and where your getting the shot, you shouldn't feel any pain. Don't worry about it though, it helps more than it hurts.

Frick haha I had 10 teeth pulled! im 14..
Well for me it didnt hurt going in, but when it came out it felt really bad for a few moments then it just went numb.. If you get teeth pulled it hurts a little after the numbing goes away..not bad so only like maybe a minute of pain

the shot is a mere pin prick. when i was your age, i had all my dental work done without
a local anesthetic because i was afraid of the shot. i put up with a lot of pain unnecessarily.
at age 22, a dental finally convinced me to get a local. the shot was nothing. i could have
avoided a lot of pain had i gotten a local 10 yrs earlier. relax and don't worry because you won't
feel a thing.

Just a pinch, and it burns a little.
I'm deathly afraid of needles, and I was fine. Since I couldn't see it, it didn't bother me. :p you'll be totally fine!
