Are the Republicans in favor of their Party over the American People every time?

"Before the ink was dry on the Oath of Office," Arlen Specter said, the GOP had decided that they would never give the President any bipartisanship on any issue, because they want to defeat him in 2012. "I know, because I was in the Caucus," Specter said.

Are the Republicans are so scared of Obama's electoral success that they would shut down the rule of government?

That is why not one Republican would vote for health care reform That is why no Republican will vote for any of Obama's proposals, no matter what the issue is: they want to win in 2012.]

Why is this legal?

"would never give the President any bipartisanship on any issue,"

That is true. They had already made up their minds that if he won the election, they would fight him tooth and nail over anything and everything! I don't like Specter either because he flips flops back and forth between parties, but he told the truth on that. That party should go down in history during this admin, (and other Democratic admins but especially this one) as being the most vilest ever in history. Past Dems have at least cooperated with them many times over. Even though many Democrat voters did not approve of them going along with them on certain issues. But the hypocrites always demand that the Dems go along with what they want.

If only there was a viable alternative. The only party worse than the democrats are the current incarnation of the republicans ( we were better before we tossed political principals for religious principals). Unless a third party is around to pick up the slack (impossible in our winner take all system) any change in the next elections will not be becuase the republicans can do better.

Guess you haven't heard but the majority of American people don't want this healthcare bill. Therefore, it is the Democrats who insist on going against what the American people want.

As for Specter, don't trust him too much in knowing what Republicans are doing or not doing. He's got a score to settle. He's a bit annoyed that most Republicans have promised to replace him with someone who will do what we tell him to do and not what he wants to do since he works for us. That's why he jumped ship and went Democrat. Many of us are thinking we may change our registration to vote for Sestak in the primaries to bring the point home that Specter went against what those who put him in office wanted and we don't like it.

It's good to know that the Democrats are so honorable that they do only what the people want--or what you've decided the people should have--and don't do things just to win. How naive are you about politics? I guess that's why you support whatever Obama is telling you is good for you and can't see what's really going on.

Now, Reba, if you follow politics at all you know you have told half the story. How many amendments did Republicans offer for health care? And how many were rejected? All of them? How about the Republican health care bill that was rejected by Democrats? And, going back a few years, the Republican health care bill offered during Nixon's term?

Republicans have basically been told to shut up. Democrats have substantial majorities and can pass anything they want to.

Even when they pass something taxpayers do not want - like the current health care bill.

First--you are going to base your bias on what Benedict Arlen said?? He switched parties because he couldn't get re-elected. Second--have you not noticed that Democrats have not attempted to be bi-partisan ONCE since Obama took office? Wake up my dear child. Both parties in Congress are two sides of the very same coin. Stop doing the work of the politicians and attempting to shape partisan minds in favor of what they want you to. Don't let your mind be played with like Play-Doh.

Of course Arlen Specter would say that. He's a democrat senator in lock step with his party. Talk about partisan politics.

That's funny. I was just thinking the same about Dumocrats.

Well when you have Republicans totally shut out of the discussions on the health bill it would only make sense for them to not support it.

Again, talk about partisan politics. Stop watching MSNBC propaganda for a change. You just might start making sense then.

For the American People you say?

Obama's so-called health care reform was a HUGE victory for Big Health Insurance Companies - you call that for the People, you call that change?

Health Insurance stocks went through the roof - because they will profit Billions and Billions next year because of your wonderful, but idiotic leader!

The republicans better oppose him! He's wrecking the country. HIs policies are very bad! If my representatives didn't oppose him, I would not re-elect them. They are supposed to oppose him because they are supposed to do the will of the people who elected them.

You'll get your healthcare reform. Whats the big deal? We had just as much of a right to say NO as you did YES. And if you introduce anymore stupid bills we'll do the same thing. Its just how we roll.
