do you actually believe girls mature faster? what do you think?

Question

It has been said that girls mature faster than guys. I wish to challenge that and get it changed is it possible.

I believe the only that girls and guys physically mature at the same rate and time just look physically different because of the gender gap.Of course a girl is going to look like a young woman at an certain age because of  her gender but a boys body doesn't change shape to show that he is male.So It makes sense to me that it is the same rate.

I think the only reason someone would be maturing faster is because of genetics,nutrition,or something in the water or foods like hormones for instance.

I also believe that saying "girls mature faster than boys" was only used as a way for older men to make it look or sound like it was OK to date a girl way younger than him or a way for people to draw lines and make guys sound immature.

I also believe with the media putting a negative look on things it literally reinforces the idea of "what is bad is good to do" making young boys look immature and making girls feel like they have to care about their image and that dating older men makes them more mature.

Even though the evidence that is recorded to say they mature faster is it possible that it is a hoax and Science was a little wrong. 

So does what I am saying sound plausible or improbable?what do you think of all of this?

there talking mentally girls mature faster guys just want to play till around twenty five and women want to start family's or have a career younger about 20

i think that since their bodies start producing the puberty hormones at a younger age, those changes in the brain also happen at a younger age. not to mention they have to mature to their environment, which is that people start to see them as growing young women. people see their boobs so they have to conform to societal norms before the boys do, not to mention girls are, on average, demanded to do more housework, which is total bs

Physically, i think that girls mature faster than boys.
Mentally, girls are definitely faster, but there is a lot of factors in how mature your mentality is, seeing that I personally am too mature for my age(which is 15) and end up being called "boring" by girls.....which i don't really get. So i end up acting immature to not be labeled that. Now that i'm done thinking, want some cake? ^_^

wen i was in 6th grade...guys were guys and were so immature and would laugh if someone farted. girls would just shake their heads.

they do cause girls go through puberty earlier 
they get their period and get pubic hair and breasts and other grown female features while guys get them later(bigger dick, deeper voice, pubic hair etc)
