Ovulation is when an ovary releases an egg. The egg enters the fallopian tube, where it stays for about 24 hours. We say that a woman is ovulating during this time; it is the period when it is possible for her to become pregnant.

If there is sperm in the fallopian tube, it may fertilize the egg. This is called conception. The fertilized egg then travels down the fallopian tube and embeds itself into the lining of the uterus. Once it attaches here, a woman is considered pregnant, though most tests will still take another couple of weeks to detect the pregnancy.

If the egg is not fertilized, it passes out of the body through the vagina. About two weeks later, the uterus sheds the lining that it had prepared for the egg; that's what a period is.

The word comes from the Latin "ova", meaning "egg". It means that your body is getting ready to release eggs that can be fertilized. It doesn't mean that you are pregnant, but it means your chances of becoming so are much higher. Even when you're not ovulating, you can still get pregnant, so you should always use birth control if you don't want to become pregnant.

Ovulating does not mean that you're pregnant. It means your ovaries released an egg, and it is the time in your menstrual cycle during which you are most able to get pregnant. Once you are pregnant you do not ovulate during pregnancy.

ovulating is when ur mature egg from one of the ovum is released and goes into the fallopian tubes and waits for the sperm. If it doesn't meet a sperm, then, the body signals the egg to break down which means u are going to have ur menstrual cycle or ur period.

eggs from a woman's ovaries are released in abdomen (this is called ovulation)and they then travel via fallopian tubes to uterus, if sperms reach at same time in uterus, fertilization can happen and the woman can become pregnant.

No, and it doesn't mean you are stupid. Well, you are, but not because you are ovulating.
