is a scratch in the winshield cover by a new car warranty?

    ONLY IF IT WAS THERE WHEN YOU BOUGHT THE CAR. CHECK WITH YOUR INS. COMPANY YOU MAY HAVE COVERAGE WITH THEM.

    no,,same as accident damage,,,and even if covered by glass ins [ck your policy] you should check with glass shop...if you tell them cash,,no insurance co involved,,the price is 1/2....my windshield was soooo pitted i couldn't see in rain/at night,,,,new one was 140 dollars [cash ] [99 chev s 10 pickup]

    shop can do great repairs on small not to deep scratches..

    If the scratch isn't too deep, it can usually be buffed out.
