Are you pregnant now? Because if you had it then you will most likely have it again.

I had it for the first 8 months of my last pregnancy. My husband had to take countless days off of work to care for our young children. We were homeschooling at the time - what a fiasco!

I lost 25 pounds, despite gaining quite a bit at the end.

You will learn a great deal at the above website. Be prepared for doctors and nurses that "don't get it". I had to leave the OB practice that delivered my other children because they kept recommending saltine crackers. DUH!

The most important thing is to DRINK. Dehydration is what puts most HG women in the hospital. You are going to throw-up no matter what you do. So force down something and let it help your body. I lived on Coke-flavored slurpees. My husband had the phone numbers of ten different 7-11's. He would start calling as he left work to be sure I got one, since those machines tend to go down quite a bit.

There are medicines, too, but none are a magic bullet and all are risky.

Be good to yourself and turn all your friend to that website so they can better help & understand your situation.
