Can I still be a christian with out believing that Jesus hears my prayers?

I truly believe that jesus is the Messiah, someone devine whom no mater how grait humanity reaches in it's knowledgeand and logic, can never totally understand his divinity. But he ate and slept, but now he is in the heavens, his first followers didn't pray to him to answer their daily prayers, did they? weren't they used to praying to the Jewish God? I feel reluctant to say oh my God Jesus because I fear I'm going too far; there is only one verse in the Holy Bible that mentions the Trinity; can I really use it alon to justify to myself that it is Ok to say, "oh my God Jesus.."? Does that verse really mean what many think it is saying; what are the odds it is explaining something else? your thoughts...

First: no where in the "original" bible does it mention the trinity. The newly revised remixes don't count.

Second: being a Christian means being "Christ-like" and no one, no matter how much they claim, is truly Christ-like without any "sin" (just about everything done daily is a sin according to the bible from looking at a swim suit model to judging others for not believing). Therefore by that definition there are no "real Christians"....so don't feel bad either way.

Certainly. As long as you believe in Jesus and The Christian God, you fit the terms of a Christian.

3 In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.”

4 “How can a man be born when he is old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!”

5 Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.

10 “You are Israel's teacher,” said Jesus, “and do you not understand these things? 11 I tell you the truth, we speak of what we know, and we testify to what we have seen, but still you people do not accept our testimony. 12 I have spoken to you of earthly things and you do not believe; how then will you believe if I speak of heavenly things?

Jesus gave us an occasion of ways we are to talk to God the daddy in his properly-widespread "Our Father" prayer. He instructs the Disciples to convey their prayers to God praying by way of Jesus Christ who's the bridge between sinful humankind and Holy God who can not seem upon sin apart from Jesus' death on circulate which washes away sin. wish that wasn't too confusing lol!! =)

um, i think you are confused at what "divine" means...

to be divine is to be a god. so since there is only one God, to attribute divinity to Jesus is to call him God (which he is).

and while there are a handful of scriptures supporting a trinity, there are many verses that support Jesus' divinity (including statements Jesus had made)

you need to think about talking to God like He is your best friend. That makes it easier for some people to talk with God and is fine. All thruogh the Bible people talk to God in prayer and it is fine for you to do the same.

i think it's okay. i mean technically god IS jesus so as long as you feel god is answering your prayers you won't have to acknowledge jesus

You need the Ceiling Cat. It's a much more logical religion than the pseudo-Jewish Christian nonsense.
