check out local tack stores and feed stores for show bills, and call the county office about the 4-H show (you don't have to be in 4-H to enter). also check out your breed site to see about breed shows in the area.

I would try some schooling shows if you are just starting to show. Old Salem farm in Old Salem, New York has amazing shows. I go to every one of them. If you really want tough competition, HITS Saugerties is an A rated show. I don't know if this is the kind of showing you want but I love it! Both of these are strictly english shows. Mostly jumping.

Source(s): I own 6 horses, all hunters and jumpers with the total price of all of them coming in at 1.2 million total I show in the Level 7 Jumpers 4'3"-4'6" in height and 4'6"-5'0" in spreads triple bars up to 5'6" I also do the Junior AO High Jumpers and some hunter classes Heres a picture of me doing the Junior AO High Classic Jumpers at Hits Culpeper Week 1 this year! Thats my Horse "Leap of Faith" AKA Brownie!! He's my little Champion!! Only 6 years old! http://www.photostockplus.com/home.php?user_id=344... With our ribbon! 2nd Place.... not too bad http://www.photostockplus.com/home.php?user_id=344...
