I seriously don't like when people ask questions and they aren't specific.
Do you mean to ask if someone's in love when they do it, or if they are doing it financially?
I think a lot of people get married, because they think it will bind them forever, or because it actually will help them financially. Personally, I think marriage is over-rated, since a lot of idiots just get divorced later anyway. I, generally, think the only people who don't take marriage for granted are lesbians/gays. I think marriage also complicates a lot of people's relationships as well, because a lot of religious people see it as the man -taking- the woman. I think marriage should be about cherishing each other and having a partnership. Where as religious people usually mean for it to be seen under god.
Not to mention, it's a piece of paper. You shouldn't need a piece of paper to prove your love.
