match.com, a magnet for std infected people?

I've enjoyed match.com since I started, and have had many great dates, but have never gotten serious or involved sexually with anyone. My roommate met a couple of girls, got somewhat serious and both revealed to him they had herpes. Do you think this is common or just a fluke?

    It's a fluke. You have just as much expectation of dating someone with an STD or an STI anywhere else. It's a problem endemic of our entire society, not just Internet dating sites.

    It's not just the internet, TONS of people have herpes.

    there is a reason that these people are using internet dating services....they obviouslt cant find people on their own. Think about it.
