Partial plate not fitting?

I recently did not wear my partial plate and now am having difficulty with the plate fitting. What can I do at home to get the proper fit?

Depending on how long you have left your partial out will determine your success in getting it back in. If it was just a short period you can gradually seat the partial and overtime it may return to normal. Your teeth will get sore as they are returning to their original position. You must do this slowly and gradually over a period of time and the movement must be minimal. If the teeth have shifted dramatically you will have to have a new partial made. Good Luck
