Im new to the video gaming world and dont like those war games Im looking into and researching the wii?

I want the Nintendo Wii and a few video games. Im a 26 yr old female who enjoys mainly the fun colorful games. I don't like the bloody war games. Im more so looking for the fun carnival games, and the food network cooking game and some other fitness games. If anyone has any experience with these games and the system please tell me if its worth getting. Its time i get something for myself now that the christmas shopping is over i wanted something fun to do and enjoy for myself. I wanted to do more research on games before i ask for the system for my birthday or get it myself but either way im interested in buying the Nintendo wii. It looks like fun and for the few people that i know who have it they said its fun and entertaining. Finally can you tell me some other fun sorta family oriented games that's out there that i can look into. not the preschool aged games but more so like harry potter or idk puzzle games. Something my mom n dad may enjoy. Or like sports games. Thanks a bunch!

The poster that talks about Ravin Rabbids- great ideas! Great games mentioned. Might I also add that you would probably like Sims Castaway. I am a female (Older then you *Ahum) And I play with my mom (Who is 67). She loves the Sports Resort game- especially the archery and Frisbee throw. We also play Smarty Pants a lot when we have more friends over. You might like to try out Endless Ocean also- it's a relaxing game for just yourself- and it's kind of addicting too. You can't be without the Wii Fit and Fit Plus games, and also Active gets you pumped too. I've heard nothing but Great reviews about Cooking Mama and Carnival games- those are next on my list to get. You will love the Wii!

Mario Kart, nice racing game about mario

Mario Super Sluggers, Baby Bowser has stollen Peach, and you must save her by playing baseball (kind of stupid but really fun)

You'll love the Wii, we have it and the only "bloody" game we have is House of the Dead and my fiancee loves that game the most, but I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Carnival games. :)

You need to check out A Boy and His Blob. One of the most artistic games i've played in a long time with undeniable charm. It is one player but it is fun...and not as easy as it may look. Im stuck at the moment.. don't confuse its charm with being an super easy game.

If your looking for a fun party game... the

Rayman Raving Rabbids Series is pure fun and hysterical. There more/less party games..up to 4 players.

Raving Rayman Rabbids 1 & 2 are the best out of the series..

there is also Rabbids go Home & Rabbids TV Party... those are the newest so you can find the first two for much cheaper and they are better. And its not preschool stuff.. it can get rather challenging.

AS for a cooking game: Order Up is probably the best one out there due to the amount of recipes.

I beat the game.. I loved it.

Skip all that mainstream guitar hero-- mario stuff.. and take a chance on something else...

Your gonna find that everytime you ask what games are good... ppl will refer you to Wii Sports.. all the Mario games... or Guitar Hero.. That stuff is recycled content.

The reason ppl have those is it is because its familiar.. and safe.. like a chain restaurant. But there are better things out there than what is familiar.

As for your parents.. they will like they Rayman Series.. my parents do! There not into mario or guitar hero stuff either...

Your looking for variety.. and thats what im trying to get across.. mario gamees, guitar hero etc stuff is fun if YOU really like those games .. but heck.. been there done that...

See sources for videos of each game I mentioned.

Hope this gives you a different perspective.
