how can I make the pictures go away when I first turn on my yahoo home page ?
When I go on to my yahoo home page the first thing I see is some pictures at the main area of the screen.
I don't want to see that, I want to see the head lines. I am sick of getting on line and the first thing I see is a picture of Obama, it's like there is no one else on earth out there. There must be a way to make my home page come up and not see some jackass picture of some one. Tell me how to do this.
never mind i found a little arrow that moves the pictures down so when i first turn on yahoo home page the headlines are at the top of the page and Obama's face that shows up a thousand times a day is not in my face, Thank God !

1: Go to page options and select "switch to compact view", that gets rid of the fly-overs.
2: Download and install the latest Firefox browser:

Also install "adblock plus":

Result: no more annoying ads! And pages are loading much quicker too...:-)
