Shaq is getting paid 20,000,000 a year, while LeBron is paid 15,779,912? How come?

Shaq signed a huge sign-and-trade contract with the Lakers and that money is still being paid to him. LeBron signed a three year deal so he could have more options in 2010, and he kinda gave the Cavs a hometown discount. But I see where your frustrations are coming from. I also hate it when people get something they don't deserve. Michael Jordan even said today's stars are getting huge paychecks before they even proved anything.

Lebron is still on his rookie contract. Next year when he decides to resign or sign with another team he will be making a #@&@ load more of money. Also shaq is a former all star and still one of the more dominant centers in the league. Also Mike Brown was willing to take him because he thought that would allow cleveland to handle dwight, kg/perkins, and gasol/bynum better in the playoffs.

Shaq's contract years are smaller than Lebron and Le bron's contract was from when he was still young. Shaq is a veteran and in his last years in the nba. Lebron has more to go and has more endorsements so he stilll makes more than shaq in the long run. LeBron's contract next year will be alot more than 20 mill i can reassure that.

cause shaq is like 40 and a 16 or 17 year veteran, lebron is 25 and like a 6 year veteran

Shaq signed a five-year $100 million contract in 2005. LeBron is still on his rookie contract

Because there is a max pay scale based on years in the NBA. Shaq is on the last year of a 5 year contract. He was a lot better when he signed that contract. Don't worry, LeBron will get a huge deal in a few months when he signs his new contract.
